We use Microsoft's Windows Azure cloud computing platform to meet our customer's most demanding hosting requirements. Our last post gave you some details about why we use Windows Azure and the many benefits it offers.
In the last few days the Windows Azure Team announced the availability of Windows Azure Infrastructure Services. This includes things like virtual machines, load balancing and virtual network to allow you to migrate parts of your existing infrastructure to the cloud, while still realising the strengths of your on-premise set up. This makes it so much easier to try your existing applications in the cloud without commitment.
You don't need to completely transfer everything to the cloud and migrate all your data, processes and systems. Instead you can take it one step at a time - at a rate you're comfortable with - while your on-premise systems share the network with the applications that have already been moved to the cloud. What's even better, we can help you all the way through this process.
We have a huge amount of experience working with Microsoft's reliable and flexible cloud computing platform, and we can help you make it work for your business, even if you just want to try it out with a small part of your business first to see what works for you.
There's even more great news from the Azure Team, and that's the reduction in the cost of Azure cloud power. Microsoft are reducing the prices for some services by over 20% from June 1st, and we can pass those saving directly on to you. Cloud computing is very good value for money, and most features are billed either by the hour or based on the amount of traffic your site gets. Because of this you're only paying for what you use, and now it's even cheaper!
To make it even better value, we can implement advanced systems that scale your cloud hosted solution automaticaly to ensure that not only is it always as responsive as possible for your users, but when it's being used less you're not paying as much.
